My passion for remixes began in the mid-1980s when I first discovered the magic of the 12” single. Vinyl was at its peak, and record labels leveraged this extended format with astonishing creativity. Naturally, I became an avid collector. In fact, I often struggled to recognize the original album versions of hit singles—or mistook them for new remixes—because I was so immersed in the extended 12” versions and remixes.

At 15, I began experimenting with remixing my favorite tracks using just a cassette player and a turntable. The results were far from polished, but the process taught me about structure, tension, and the art of crafting a dynamic remix. Decades later, I still can’t listen to a song without mentally dissecting its layers. My mind instinctively deconstructs the merged and mastered whole, imagining how its elements could come together in a longer, more expansive, and bolder version.

I describe my style as NeoClassic—a fusion of classic 12” remix structures applied to contemporary or reissued material. My remixes honor the essence of the original version, preserving everything that defines the album or 7” track while expanding it into a larger, more intense experience. My aim is to give listeners a chance to discover hidden elements in the music—subtle details that only come to life in the extended version.

Since 2016, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with music mastermind Vinny Vero on a range of creative projects. In addition to remixing his production material, I also design artwork for his reissue CD releases. This includes creating sleeves, booklets, CD labels, and digipacks for reissue projects with labels such as Cherry Red and Warner Music. Our partnership is driven by a shared dedication to preserving and reimagining music with care, authenticity, and a deep respect for its original artistry.
